Andrew Jackson

Andrew Jackson (March 15, 1767 – June 8, 1845) wis the 7nt Preses o the Unitit States frae 1829 tae 1837. He defeatit John Quincy Adams in the 1828 elekshin, efter his defeat against him in 1824. He served two terms, being succeeded by Martin Van Buren in 1837. His parents emigratit frae Carrickfergus, Northren Ireland, and were of Scots-Erse strynd. Jackson was born in the Waxhaws, on the border of North Carolina and Sooth Carolina.
